Mackenzie’s foray into media began in one of the fields she loves most: poetry.
A creative writer by nature, Mackenzie has earned accolades for her work including her selection for several journals.
She was named Tufts University’s second-place winner of the Academy of American Poets Poetry Prize in 2021.
At just 13 years old, her work was published in Rattle, receiving widespread recognition (and brief internet virality).
Mackenzie now publishes short-form poetry on Instagram.
